Lonely? I'm sure I'm Not

Hi, guys! Firstly, I want to say sorry to my lecturer because this post is a rather late to posting because actually it would post two weeks ago but I forgot to do that.
Now, I want to share my summary after listening How Loneliness Can Infect Social Networks. This is a good information for all people who have the problems with social things. I listened from http://www.rinaesl.blogspot.com/
I got something important about loneliness here. In fact, we can feel lonely if our close friend gets busy. Loneliness can be categorized as health disease. Usually woman more easily gets lonely than the man. This is like influenza, if a lonely person feel lonely, then her/his friend will feel it too. Loneliness can also make someone become less trusted with the others. John Cacioppo, the findings in University of Chicago said that it is important to recognize and deal with loneliness. He said people who have infected with loneliness should get help to repair it. If not, they will always get problem with social networks.

Hand Washing is Important

Hello, guys! Today is Sunday but there is no except for me to not post anything here, hehe..

I have listened from my lecturer's blog, here it is : http://www.rinaesl.blogspot.com/
And the title is Importance of Hand Washing http://www.manythings.org/listen/handwashing/
I want to share my summary here.

This is not same as usual I did, I've listened a report about health. Nowadays people are not really care about their health, like washing the hands. It prevents us from illness like hepatitis A, meningitis, and infectious diarrhea. When the bacteria holds our hands, they can infect themselves by touching their eyes, mouth, and nose.
Some activities that we should clean it up with washing hands are :
  • After handle animals waste
  • After cleaning the baby
  • Keep hand washing when someone got sick in your house
These steps for keeping clean by washing the hands :
  • Rubbing your hands together after using soap and warm water
  • You have not to use special anti-bacterial soap
  • Be sure to rub all areas of the hands for about ten to fifteen second
  • Rinse the hands with water and dry them.
So, that is the way and how importance to wash our hands. It looks easy, but it will be difficult if you never try and don't make it as your habit.

Saturday's Chores & Smartphones

I want to tell you about my exercises on http://www.esl-lab.com/ (like usual).
The first one, I listened on easy level. The title was Saturday's Chores. This conversation held by two persons, dad and son. Son want to play outside the house but his dad doesn't give him a permission because they have an agreement. If he want to play outside, he should clean all around the house. So, the father asked his son to vacuum the floors, wash the walls, make his bed, put his toys. As the achievement, the dad will get his son to go out for the meal. Of course his son love this and agree for do the task from his father. Fortunately, I got 100% score.
And then, the medium is Smartphones. This conversation held by two persons, the girl and young man. Young man is very selfish and he said something bad about his parents. He has two phones, though. His parents said to push him to find a job, and buy the smartphone with that salary. I got 80% score, not bad.

Hamburger and Public Bath

Hello again! I'm back to post my exercise on Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab. You can visit here : http://www.esl-lab.com/

As the good college student, I agree with my lecturer to post about my practice on listening.
I chose easy and medium (that was my lecturer said).
First, I chose easy exercise under the title Hamburger Restaurant on http://www.esl-lab.com/fastfood/fastfoodrd1.htm. Why I chose this topic? Because I always interested the topic that relates with food *yummy! It is quite hard for me because the speaker usually uses implied words, and they speak very fast. Finally I just got 60% on the score. Lastly, something that I got from this conversation is don't buy fast food like hamburger because it is very expensive and always serve in large portion. (really?)
Then, I listened for Japanese Public Bath on http://www.esl-lab.com/bath1/bath1.htm. You know, I love all about Japanese's cultures. They are unique and interesting. But for listening exercise I am not the best. The speakers are western people. They are quite shock because the culture in Japan is absolutely different with USA. My score is so-so, like the easy one.
